The Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to provide the learning and social activities to meet your child's needs. The curriculum focuses on language arts and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies and character education.
Activities in the five-year-old classroom include: Identifying upper and lower case letters and letter sounds; begin to add, subtract and estimate; dramatic play; discovering animals in their natural habitats through field trips; learn about nutrition, safety, geography, different cultures and current events and learn about compassion.
The Maryland state-approved Kindergarten program broadens the scope of Pre-Kindergarten experiences and activities. The Kindergarten program provides a strong language and literacy content which aligns with and expands the focus of the content areas: reading/language arts, mathematics, science, physical education, fine arts, health education, social studies as well as personal and social development.
